Proverbs 27:17

Scripture Insights
Where are your relationships taking you? Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that the people we choose to surround ourselves with can have a powerful influence on our character, our values, and our direction in life. The saying “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future” captures this truth—those who we choose to surround ourselves with will shape who we become.
God designed us to grow in community through relationships that challenge and encourage us to become Christlike disciples. As we walk through life with wise, godly friends, their encouragement and presence in our lives will help strengthen our faith and claim our purpose.
When we isolate ourselves from this community or fail to invest in healthy friendships, we become more vulnerable to discouragement, temptation, and spiritual drift. We were not made to go on this journey alone—we are better together! In the family of God, we have the incredible opportunity to engage in relationships where we can help each other become Christlike disciples. Where are your relationships taking you?
Today’s Prayer
Jesus, today I commit to developing friendships that will help me become more like you. Please give me the courage and the grace to also be the friend that will help others become Christlike disciples.
