Ephesians 6:14–15
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breast plate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

Have you ever watched children become distracted by critters or blades of grass while playing in the outfield during Little League? They are oblivious when the ball lands a few feet from where they are standing (or sitting). Only the children who keep their eye on the ball and are ready at any moment even have the opportunity to make a great catch. Imagine the opportunities we might find before us if we simply keep our eye on the ball and stand in the ready position.
In Ephesians 6, Paul tells us to prepare to share the good news of Christ. God invites us to reflect the truth of Jesus in all of our actions and words and to live with integrity and moral uprightness so we might attract others to the goodness of Christ and bring glory to God.
Let’s get prepared and stand alert so we will be ready to share God’s love with all those the Lord puts along our path today.
Today’s Prayer
God, help us to embody truth, righteousness, and the readiness to share the gospel to effectively bring people to you. May our lives draw others to inquire about the source of our hope and peace, resulting in their life transformation.
